I want to build a society which takes care of every one of us equally, regardless of our backgrounds. Helsinki must have room for every one of its residents!
I decided to run in the municipal elections because I wanted to better the stature of young people and students, improve peoples livelihoods and to better the accessibility of services. Because of that these themes are my top goals.
My election goals are build on three core themes:
- Let’s make Helsinki the best city in Finland for students!
- Helsinki for everyone: more affordable housing, lower costs in public services – let’s cut the public transport fees!
- Early intervention creates future well-being: preventative social and healthcare services must be accessible!
I encounter the hardships caused by cuts on social welfare daily in my work and I carry a huge concern in what kind of situation the young generation has been put: decline of income requirements, careless climate policy and the continuing stress and weakening of healthcare and wellness services are making our future bleaker. We must change the direction and build a Helsinki that is best in the world regarding the future: let’s make bold progressive politics. Politics that brings hope and belief in that there is always someone lending a helping hand when you fall. Less alone, more together!
Why a ”Flourishing Helsinki”?
My campaign slogan’s goal is to send a positive message: Let’s say yes to change!
